Disha Patani: “You’ll know why I did Baaghi 2 once you see it”

Disha Patani is gearing up for the release of ‘Baaghi 2’, co-starring Tiger Shroff. She is acting with Shroff for the first time, and Patani admitted that he reminds her of the ever so loved Jackie Chan, her co-star from ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ (2017). She also is not afraid of having an popular actor like Shroff taking away any of the limelight, saying that the audience will know why she chose ‘Baaghi 2’ once they see it.

When asked if she was disappointed in the low box office numbers of ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ in India, Patani told Mirror, “I got to meet my childhood idol Jackie Chan and observe him on the sets. I’m still in touch with him but Jackie’s a busy man. He’s 63 and hasn’t taken a day off. In many ways, (Baaghi 2 costar) Tiger (Shroff) reminds me of him. He was offered Kung Fu Yoga too but couldn’t do it because of scheduling conflicts.”

When also asked if she feels that she will be overshadowed by Shroff, Patani said, “I never think that way. In my debut film, I was there for just 10 minutes but people liked me. You’ll know why I did Baaghi 2 once you see it. We did a lot of workshops with Ahmed sir (director Ahmed Khan) and were so prepped up that we’d can shots in one or two takes.”

‘Baaghi 2’ is slated to release on 30th March.
