Director Kundan Shah passes away

Filmmaker Kundan Shah has passed away after suffering a heart attack.

The director, known for the dark comedy ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’ (1983) was 69.

Shah made his television debut in 1986 with the popular series ‘Nukkad’, followed by ‘Wagle Ki Duniya’ based on RK Laxman’s character, the common man. He was also behind popular films like ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’ (1993) and ‘Kya Kenha’ (2000).
