Diljit Dosanjh on ‘Baadshaho’: “I felt that I couldn’t do it”

Diljit Dosanjh 1

‘Udta Punjab’ (2016) saw the entry of Diljit Dosanjh into the world of Bollywood acting, after many appearances in Punjabi films. On release of the film,it received much positive feedback and Dosanjh has signed up for ‘Phillauri’ and ‘Baadshaho’.

Although the shooting for ‘Phillauri’ went well, he decided to opt out of ‘Baadshaho’.

Pinkvilla caught up with Dosanjh, and asked him his reasons behind the decision. He replied, “It was a good project and I have loved director Milan Luthria’s films. I have seen Kacche Dhaage and The Dirty Picture too. But when they offered the role (for Baadshaho), I felt that I couldn’t do it. I wouldn’t have been able to do the introductory scene of my character.”

He added, “But I am sure the film will be a good one. Emraan Hashmi will do justice to the role. I have no regrets of not doing it because I know I will not be able to do it.”

This certainly shows the sign of a good artist.

BizAsia wishes every success to the actor and singer and look forward to his future songs and films.
