Though she hasn’t had a huge amount of great successes under her belt, Soha Ali Khan has surely made her name within the Indian film industry. However, she does have a few regrets, and surprisingly her debut seems to be one of them.

First waltzing on the big screens opposite Shahid Kapoor in 2004 in ‘Dil Maange More’, she still questions her decision on making this her debut. “Idon’t know why I chose to make my debut with ‘Dil Maange More’. The film had three leading ladies -me, Tulip Joshi and Ayesha Takia -opposite Shahid Kapoor. I was fresh to Bollywood at that time because I had just come back from England and had no clue about hero-heroine dynamics in India.” NDTVreported Khan stating.

She went onto explain how she was drawn to her character who was head strong, ambitious and knew what she wanted, “When I was asked a character out of three, I chose Neha because she is ambitious. At an young age of 21 she chooses her career over boyfriend. It was again a wrong decision taken by me because in Hindi films, actresses keep their partner over any other thing.”

Now despite the film failing at the box office, this hasn’t stopped Khan from reaching new heights. With films like ‘Rang De Basanti’ (2006), ‘Khoya Khoya Chand’ (2007) and ‘Tum Mile’ (2009) getting the recognition that she deserves, she sure doesn’t seem to have anything to worry about. Performing some very diverse roles, this young actress sure has a lot more to look forward to.
