‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ to be screened at IIFA on 6th June

This year the 16th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards will witness the screening of director Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming venture ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ on 6th June in Malaysia. The movie is a dysfunctional family drama and is a multi-starrer flick including Bollywood actors like Anil Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma and Shefali Shah.

A day before it’s screening at IIFA the comedy drama will be hitting theatres worldwide. Anil Kapoor who has been a part of the IIFA awards ceremony since past 15 years, told Hindustan Times, “I am in Bollywood from last 38 years and there are very few films where everything goes right. And I am very lucky that in my upcoming film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ I got the opportunity to work with a wonderful producer, director, technician and background stars.”

The 58-year-old also added, “Together we have created a gem and it will make us proud to be an Indian when it will have its screening. It will be the first screening of the film as we are not having any screening in Mumbai.”

The IIFA Weekend which will take place at Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is expected to be attended by stars like Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandes, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra and many more.

The ceremony was previously also organised in Malaysia in year 2000.
