‘Dil Bechara’ & ‘Special Ops’ most popular on digital during lockdown

Bollywood movie ‘Dil Bechara’ and thriller-series ‘Specials Ops’ have been named the most popular film and show on digital platforms in India during the lockdown.

Reported by Mid-Day, Shailesh Kapoor, CEO of Ormax Media refused to divulge exact figures but said, “Dil Bechara has been the top film by a wide margin, followed by Gulabo Sitabo, Extraction, Shakuntala Devi and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, in that order. These are based on estimates.”

Among digital originals, espionage thrilelr ‘Special Ops’ and ‘Paatal Lok’ proved immensley popular. He said, “Disney+Hotstar’s Special Ops fared the best. Amazon Prime’s Paatal Lok comes second, followed by Voot Select’s Asur.” ‘Panchayat’ on Amazon Prime Video and ‘Aarya’ on Hotstar were also in the popular list.

He said the results were derived from social media hype, along with their reach and appeal.
