Dibaker Banerjee along with his production house is all set with his new movie titled ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’. The director recently said he would love to make it the start of a franchise.

According to Deccan Chronicle, Banerjee said, “We would love to make it a franchise. We are waiting for the first film to do well, because a film like has never been made in a long time in Indian cinema”

Producer turned director Banerjee is hopeful for the movie as nowadays Bollywood lacks investigative movies. Sushant Singh Rajput, the protagonist, was also present at the launch of the first trailer, however, not all the characters were revealed during the preview to keep the audience hooked to the cinema.

Talking about the age restriction for the movie, Banerjeecaught a flying statement from Banerjee where he said, “It is definitely not aggressive like ‘Love Sex and Dhoka’ (2010).”

The film was also in news as Banerjee wanted Aamir Khan to take the role of a villain but Khan being a perfectionist he refused and took up ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013) instead.
