Dia Mirza on being part of ‘Dutt’ biopic

It was recently confirmed that Dia Mirza would star in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic esssying the role of his current wife, Maanyata. The actress has spoken up about the same now, expressing her excitement.

Mirza told Absolute India, “I am working on Sanjay Dutt’s biopic right now, and I am really excited about it. It’s wonderful film to be part of, and to be directed by my favourite filmmaker.”

On whether it would be difficult to portray a real life person onscreen, she added, “I think for an actor, the work is only as difficult as a written material. With the team so sound and with such a wonderful environment out there, you feel nothing but to put your best foot forward.”

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the biopic stars Ranbir Kapoor as the protagonist, with a supporting cast comprising of Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Karishma Tanna, Sonam Kapoor, and others.
