Dia Mirza joins UN’s Women Rise for All effort

Dia Mirza has become a part of the United Nations’ (UN) Rise for All global advocacy effort, which has been created to support social and economic recovery from COVID-19 around the world

Mirza is accompanied by ten other women, including Prime Minister Erna Solberg, President Sahle-Work Zewde, and Melinda Gates, with more influential women to join soon. “My optimism, my belief in humanity and my faith in us during this shared experience is that we will overcome this pandemic. We will work towards building a more sustainable world by not just ensuring we adopt and follow through on the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals, but also finding individual action and individual ways to become better citizens of our planet.”, she shared in a statement.

Mirza has been working with UN since 2017 as the UN Environment’s Goodwill Ambassador for India and the UN Secretary General’s Advocate of Sustainable Development Goals.
