It has been quite a while since Bollywood has churned out a detective film.�� However, in the coming year there will be many such releases and Dia Mirza�۪s production, ��Bobby Jasoos�۪, heads the list.�� According to Mirza, there is scope for all of the films to do well and she does not consider the other films to be competition for her Vidya Balan starrer.
���Our intention was to come first and I am glad that we could meet our timelines.�� We are the only woman-centric detective film,� Mirza said to Absolute India, while also clarifying that her team had started work on ��Bobby Jasoos�۪ long before making an official announcement or hearing of the other detective films being made.
On threatening competition from promising detective films like Dibakar Banerjee�۪s ��Detective Byomkesh Bakshi�۪ and Anurag Basu�۪s ��Jagga Jasoos�۪, Mirza says, ���It will be interesting to see how they handle their respective subjects.�� However I feel there�۪s no competition.�
Starring Vidya Balan in the title role, ��Bobby Jasoos�۪ is slated for release on Friday 4th July.�� It will be clashing at the box office with ��Lekar Hum Deewana Dil�۪, which marks the debut of star-kid Armaan Jain.
