Dharmendra prioritises work over health

Last month, ace actor Dharmendra was hospitalized in the Breach Candy Hospital, following his shoulder injury, here. The actor has to undergo a surgery for the same, but has postponed it till the release of his upcoming venture ‘Second Hand Husband’.

Asserting the same, the actor told Mid-Day, “After the release of this film I will undergo the operation. I am fit and fine. While getting down from vanity van I fell down and happened to injure my shoulder. I also got a routine health check done, which showed that my hemoglobin count was a bit low. In January, it was 13, then it came down to 6, now it is 12.”

Adding to this, the 79-year-old says, “Khane peene pe parez hai. I think of giving it up drinking and my wife (Hema Malini) keeps reminding me about it. I tell her I will do it on Tuesday, but that Tuesday doesn’t come.”

The Smeep Kang directorial also stars Gippy Grewal, Geeta Basra, Tina Ahuja and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Ahuja who is Bollywood actor Govinda’s daughter, will make her Bollywood debut with this film. ‘Second Hand Husband’ is scheduled to release on 3rd July.
