Devdas sweeps awards at ZEE Cine Awards 2003

Not hugely surprising, but last year’s magnum Devdas
walked away with the ceremony’s biggest prizes including
Best Film, Director, Actor and Actress. The blockbuster
of 2002 won a total of seven titles. Saathiya, The
Legend Of Bhagat Singh and Raaz also did well.

Vivek Oberoi was widely appreciated by the audience who
watched the new star come on stage numerous times to
pick up awards for team members of Saathiya and Company
who were unable to attend. He also grabbed the award for
Best Male Newcomer and Best Supporting Actor for his
role in Company.

Aashwariya Rai’s sizzling performance made the night a
must to watch. Shamita Shetty, Eesha Deol and Zayed Khan
were the other performers.

The awards night was shown on ZEE TV UK last night, with
the event actually taking place in Mumbai last weekend.
