Dev Patel signed for adaptation of ‘Flash Crash’

Having worked his way up the success ladder, Dev Patel is doing extremely well for himself. With his forthcoming release ‘David Copperfield’, the actor has been signed on for another British film, said to be an adaptation of the book, ‘Flash Crash: A Trading Savant, a Global Manhunt, and the Most Mysterious Market Crash in History’ by Liam Vaughan.

As reported by India Today, the book tells the story of a boy from London who managed to beat the financial crash in 2010 and make millions from his bedroom. Iain Canning and Emile Sherman of See-Saw production who will be co-producing the film with Patel, expressed, “Navinder Sarao’s story struck us deeply. He’s an unlikely but also complex hero who exposed the manipulations at the heart of the global financial system. We’re so pleased to be bringing it to life with our friends at New Regency, and to continue our relationship with Dev Patel after the success of ‘Lion’ (2016).”

If this collaboration is anything to go by, it seems here’s a film that will definitely be one to look out for.
