Desh TV added to Sky Digital platform

A new channel dedicated to Bengali-language shows for UK viewers has officially been added to the Sky Digital platform.

Desh TV, which has been testing off the Sky EPG for a number of days, is available on Sky Digital channel 850.

Even though the channel continues to remain in test mode with looped promotional videos, it is expected to begin regular shows from May.

Desh TV will predominantly broadcast shows recorded locally for its UK audience. It will also carry imported shows from its main channel in Bangladesh.

Beside Desh TV, other Bengali offerings in the UK are ZEE Cafe (hybrid channel), Channel I, Channel S, ATN Bangla and the soon to relaunch – Bangla TV.
