‘Delhi Belly’ director Abhinay Deo to announce next venture

Abhinay Deo was in the news a few months ago for a project that would reportedly have seen him cast Hrithik Roshan as lead. However, with that now being stalled, the director is set to announce his forthcoming venture.

Deo is going to be making a dark comedy and news has it that Imran Khan could very well bag the male lead role. The duo worked together in ‘Delhi Belly’ (2011). Irrfan Khan is apparently also a favourite for the project.

“It’s a bold theme but the dialogue may not be as over-the-top as Delhi Belly. Also, it won’t be set in a metro but a small town. Abhinay will co-produce the film,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.

Deo has most recently been directing episodes of Anil Kapoor’s popular Hindi adaptation of ’24’. However, in the forthcoming season, Rensil D’Silva will be directing the majority.
