Finally this week there is light at the end of the tunnel for the ‘Padmaavat’ team, after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the go ahead for the film to be released.
Reported on TOI, ‘Padmaavat’, originally titled ‘Padmavati’, has been riddled in controversy since the start. It has now been said that the lead actors – Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor have all been asked to stay away from promotions and media interactions, to avoid “causing further uproar”. Though apparently the trio are all very busy with other commitments.
Initially the release date for the film was the 1st December 2017, but now ‘Padmaavat’ will be in cinemas on the 25th January and could possibly be the biggest release of 2018.
