Deepika Padukone’s father thinks she has “a long way to go”

Deepika Padukone - Bajirao Mastani

From having her voice dubbed by someone else in her debut movie to receiving rave reviews for her performances in her latestreleases, ‘Piku’ and ‘Tamasha’, Deepika Padukone has surely come a long way. However, according to her father, badminton player Prakash Padukone, Deepika still has a long way to go.

Speaking to DNA India, Mr Padukone said, “She is evolving as an actress. She is enjoying what she is doing. She tries to learn. After every movie, she tries to analyse her performance… She tries to analyse so many great actors and actresses not only from Bollywood but also from Hollywood and tries to learn from them… There is nobody from the family that has done movies. It just comes naturally to her. She is still in that learning stage. She has got a long way to go compared with some of the yesteryear actresses who have been legends. There is a lot for her to achieve.”

Allegedly, Deepika has also managed another feather in her cap by landing a Hollywood movie offer alongside Vin Diesal.

The actress will next be seen on the big screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’, which releases on 18th December.
