Deepika Padukone wants to romance Salman Khan?

Deepika Padukone is indeed riding high at the moment what with the impending release of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ opposite ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor. However, it seems she desires to work with Salman Khan.

According to Deccan Chronicle, the actress very publicly said, “Like me, Salman is extremely romantic. I think we can pull off a hardcore romantic film”.

The comment seems innocent enough but those close to Padukone have said that it’s a direct relation to Katrina Kaif who is being linked to ex-boyfriend Kapoor. A source revealed, “Katrina and Salman may not have been a couple officially, but the former has maintained cordial relations with his family and worked with him on several occasions. None of the actresses have been able to make that connection with Salman. Clearly, Katrina is not very happy with rival actresses clamouring to replace her”.
