Deepika Padukone uncertain about doing ‘Kick’ item song?

BizAsia has learnt that Deepika Padukone, who is hugely popular these days having had such fabulously successful films last year, has been approached by Sajid Nadiadwala to be part of a special song in ��Kick�۪. However, whilst in most circumstances�� the actress would have taken up the request, it seems she is unable to accept so readily due to her equation with Farah Khan.

Khan�۪s husband Shirish Kunder opted out of being director of ��Kick�۪ some time ago but it has severed ties between the couple and producer Nadiadwala, who is now directing the film himself. Also, over time, the close association between Nadiadwala and Khan has ceased to exist and this has put Padukone in a bit of a tight spot.

The actress will understandably not want to upset Khan who helped her make such an impactful debut into the industry and whose forthcoming ��Happy New Year�۪ is something she is a part of. As such, it will undoubtedly be interesting to see what decision Padukone does make. If she chooses to accept Nadiadwala’s offer, she will be seen on screen for the very first time alongside Salman Khan.

Padukone will be joining the cast and crew of ��Tamasha�۪, directed by Imtiaz Ali and also starring Ranbir Kapoor, on 9th July.
