Deepika Padukone to turn to direction in Zoya Akhtar’s next?

Deepika Padukone might have bagged all the best actress awards for 2013, but looks like she is in mood for some experiment. BizAsia has learnt that Padukone might turn assistant director for Zoya Akhtar’s next, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ since she wants to work with the filmmaker at any cost.

She told Hindustan Times, “I love the script so much that I am ready to work in any capacity on the film, including an assistant director (AD),” she says, with a smile. “But I don’t know if I can manage that (working as an AD).”

The movie is said to be based on a dysfunctional Punjabi family that goes on a luxury cruise together. It stars Ranveer Singh in the lead besides Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma, Farhan Akhtar and Anil Kapoor.
