Deepika Padukone to take forward ‘Don’ franchise?

After Priyanka Chopra impressed fans with her character Roma in ‘Don’ and ‘Don 2’, it seems Deepika Padukone has ousted Katrina Kaif to bag the female protagonist role in ‘Don 3’.

Deccan Chronicle reports that Padukone has been approached for the action thriller. If true, she could jump into the role after completing Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Chhapaak’.

There has been speculation on Monday that Shah Rukh Khan could be replaced by Ranveer Singh in the film, owing to personal reasons. However, it has not officially been announced how ‘Don 3’ will shape-up.
