Although Deepika Padukone herself has been adamant that she’s not signed a Hollywood film which is something she’s repeatedly been heard saying, the evidence all pointed towards something big for her. She posted a teaser photo with Vin Diesel which left everyone guessing. When Diesel himself posted a photo with Padukone on his Instagram, it all seemed to be kicking off. Padukone’s manager also tweeted for people to wait for official news but wished her congratulations. Now, it’s definitely confirmed that the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actress – who is celebrating her 30th birthday today – will star in ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’��and she will be joining the team in February.
DJ Caruso, the director of the forthcoming film, tweeted in December about the news hashtagging Padukone. When this didn’t really indicate any kind of confirmation, Caruso has been seen replying to a tweet in the last few days on Twitter saying that the film will go on the floors this month and that Padukone will join in February.
