Deepika Padukone to finally romance Salman Khan in ‘Kick 2’?

While there have been plenty of opportunities for Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone to work together, things have not materialised, which have proved disappointing for both their fans.

However, it now seems that the Bollywood superstars could be lured together for ‘Kick 2’, according to The Asian Age. The report adds that Padukone has been approached for the for the female lead in this action thriller.

A source told the publication, “If you remember, Deepika was the first choice for Kick. But somehow it didn’t work out. Jacqueline was brought in and Kick changed the course of her career.”

The source further added, “Deepika can’t play just a typical Salman heroine. Her role has to be as powerful as Salman’s. Sajid is working on it, injecting heft into the female lead.”

Khan will next be seen with Katrina Kaif in ‘Bharat’, releasing this Eid.
