Deepika Padukone supports Shweta Prasad

News of actress Shweta Prasad being caught in a prostitution racket has been making headlines for quite a few days now.�� While some feel it is important for the reality of the industry to be spoken of, others feel too much of an issue is being made.�� Deepika Padukone has spoken up on the situation and believes that people should stop looking down at Prasad and instead support her.

���I am nobody to comment on what she has chosen to do with her life. ��If that�۪s the only thing she could do to support herself and her family and if that was the only way she could have made money, I don�۪t think there�۪s anything wrong with that��_ I don�۪t think she should be looked down upon. Rather, I think we should all get together and support her,�۝ Padukone said to Absolute India.

Interestingly, a number of celebrities from Bollywood, such as Vishal Bhardwaj, Karan Johar and Imtiaz Ali have signed a petition in support of Prasad.

As a child artist, Prasad had won a National Award for her performance in Vishal Bhardwaj�۪s ��Makdee�۪.�� She also acted in some television serials as a child, including Ekta Kapoor�۪s ��Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki�۪, and was later seen doing films in South India.
