Deepika Padukone slams paparazzi over Sushant Singh Rajput’s death

Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on 14th June and the fallout continues in the entertainment industry and around the world. The police’s initial investigation claims that the star was in depression before committing suicide.

Deepika Padukone, who herself has been vocal about her battle with depression and mental health, has slammed paparazzi for sensationalising his death, reports Box Office Worldwide.

Various videos from the media posted videos where the late star’s body was being taken from the hospital to the crematorium for the final ceremonies. Padukone said, “Please note my images and videos cannot be posted on any platforms without my written consent.”

The superstar further said, “Right. But it is OK for you to take this video and not only post it but also probably monetise it without his or his family’s written consent?”

Singh Rajput’s last rites were performed on shortly after his death in Mumbai. Then after that, his family left for their hometown of Patna to carry on with religious ceremonies with their family.
