Deepika Padukone signs lucrative endorsement deal

Deepika Padukone has a very successful year and it seems her dream run is continuing. BizAsia has learnt that the actress may well have shone at the all-important box office but she is also now shining with endorsements. News has it that she has signed quite possibly the most lucrative endorsement deal of her career so far.

Padukone, according to Hindustan Times, has been signed as ambassador for a leading cola brand and that too for more than a year. Buzz suggests that she has been paid a huge amount as an insider revealed, “The brand has been very selective in choosing its ambassadors. Among Bollywood heroines, they had Aishwarya Rai Bachchan around eight years ago. At the time, she had a successful run in her acting career. After a long gap, they have now signed Deepika”.

Apparently, when Padukone’s team was contacted, they refused to comment on the amount in question. However, it is believed that she now has close to a dozen brand associations.
