Deepika Padukone, who has shared cold vibes with Katrina Kaif, was recently heard praising her. However, the praise didn’t seem to be coming out from heart as she was apparently provoked by Karan Johar, who is widely known for his witty behavior and controversy-stirring questions.
According to PTI, Padukone termed Katrina as a hardworking actress. The appreciation came after filmmaker Johar, who was also present with her at a summit, questioned whether she liked Kaif’s role in ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013).
When asked which female star’s performance had impressed her in recent times, Padukone said Cate Blanchett from Woody Allen’s ‘Blue Jasmine’. But soon after her reply came to Johar’s tricky question. Johar who said that it is always either Sridevi or Blanchett for Padukone, asked, “You loved Katrina in Dhoom 3!”
Bowled with Johar’s question, Padukone very carefully answered, “She was fantastic (in Dhoom 3). She is one of the most hardworking people I have ever known.”
Also, the 28-year-old said that she is competitive but in a healthy manner. “For me definition of competition is not being negative, it does not mean to pull somebody down. I am competitive but in a healthy manner. I just compete with myself and my previous films. Insecurity can be used to improve yourself, it can also be very productive. I think watching somebody else’s film can inspire you to do great work,” she said.
The bone of contention between the hotties is Bollywood’s ‘Barfi!’ (2012) Ranbir Kapoor, who is the ex-flame of Padukone and who is currently dating Kaif.
