Deepika Padukone on meeting Romi Dev ahead of ’83’ shoot

Bollywood superstar, Deepika Padukone will soon be gracing our screens in Kabir Khan’s ’83’, which will see the actress play Romi Dev, the wife of ex-cricketer, Kapil Dev.

Ahead of the film’s shoot, Padukone met up with Romi on a number of occasions whilst in London. Talking about her interaction with her, Padukone was cited in Cineblitz saying, “I feel so inspired every time I meet her. She has an extremely refreshing energy, is intelligent, knowledgeable, and funny”.

About one quality she admires in Romi, Padukone said, “I like her candour. Romi ji is someone who is extremely honest and when she needs to express herself, she does it with a lot of dignity. I like the way she conducts herself with so much grace”.

’83’ will release in spring next year. However, Padukone’s next film will be the more hard-hitting film ‘Chhapaak’ based on a acid attack victim.
