Deepika Padukone misses out on film with Tom Cruise?

Deepika Padukone has reportedly not been selected for a role in Hollywood flick ‘The Mummy’ with Tom Cruise.

According to SpotBoye, the actress, who makes her Hollywood debut with ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’, has not heard back from the makers. It further adds that she is not in the running for the role anymore.

A source told Spotboye, “Deepika had auditioned for the role of an Asian princess that Tom thinks about in a flashback moment. Though it wasn’t a very big role, Deepika was very keen to work with The Mission Impossible actor. However, it can now be said that she hasn’t been selected.”

Incidentally, Huma Qureshi, who also auditioned for the same role, has also not been selected.
