Deepika Padukone in 'Chhapaak'
The first look of Deepika Padukone’s next ‘Chhapaak’ was revealed on Monday, and has received much appreciation from all over. Padukone will be playing the character Malti, which is based on the life of Laxmi Agarwal, an acid attack survivor, and it is a coincidence that Padukone is starring in this film as they discussed Agarwal’s journey in 2014.
Pinkvilla reports that Padukone and Agarwal met at the 2014 ‘NDTV Indian of The Year’ award ceremony where they discussed the issue and Agarwal shared how she overcame her obstacles and arose in her journey.
‘Chhapaak’ is slated for a 10th January 2020 release.
