Incidentally Deepika made her debut with Shah Rukh Khan in ‘Om Shanti Om’. The duo went on to act together in a couple of movies; ‘Chennai Express’, and ‘Happy New Year’ thereafter.

Shah Rukh Khan holding the fort with his charm and witty comments, invited Deepika to speak with the song ‘Main Agar Kahoon’ from ‘Om Shanti Om’.

Moments from the press conference
– The moderator asked Deepika to describe how it felt to be in a movie that was her career’s biggest hit. Shah Rukh Khan quipped in to add that the film was “everyone’s career’s biggest hit”
– At one point, the crowd wouldn’t stop yelling out for Shah Rukh, Deepika got overwhelmed with tears! She explained, “To experience this, after what the world has been through, the fact that a movie like this can bring people together. It almost feels like a festival. When you work with honesty, keep your head down and keep working, when you see this, it all feels worth it.”
– She also spoke at length on her chemistry with Shah Rukh Khan which has been pretty consistent through the years. “The chemistry is still so palpable, but the characters are different. What makes it so special, is beyond what it is on paper. I have great respect for him as an artist and as a human being. He has given me confidence, I don’t think even he knows that.”

Indeed, the team will continue to celebrate as ‘Pathaan’ is all set to cross Rs. 500 crores and is still going strong at the box office world over.
