Deepika Padukone favourite for SLB’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’?

Deepika Padukone is riding high these days on the successes she enjoyed in 2013. It seems her latest film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ has meant that she has become favourite of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and it is being said that she is favourite to star in his next project ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which has seen major delays.

A member of Bhansali’s team is quoted by Deccan Chronicle, “SLB has been working on the script of this mega budget costume drama for a while now and hopes to start shooting by the end of the year. The only actress considered for the role as of now is Deepika Padukone”.

Whilst it hasn’t been confirmed who will play male lead, one wonders whether Padukone will eventually sign the dotted line for this film which is sure to see her in all her beauty once again through Bhansali’s larger-than-life gaze.
