Deepika Padukone on faltering relationships

Deepika Padukone is arguably one of this generations most successful stars. However, she has said that success comes at a price and that it’s sometime difficult for people around that person to handle their fame.

“Some of my personal relationships have become stronger with time but I have seen some of my friends, who have distanced themselves from me. Some of my school friends have become much closer than before because we all make efforts to stay in touch,” said Padukone, during the launch of Hema Malini’s biography.

She spoke further, about having a decade’s journey in B-town to look back on, “A lot of people could not handle the success that came my way and sort of disconnected. I am not upset about it. That’s just the way life goes. People who are closest to you and matter understand”.

Padukone will be seen next in ‘Padmavati’ which is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial releasing on 1st December.
