Deepika & Katrina reject Gowariker’s period drama opposite Hrithik

In a double blow to director Ashutosh Gowariker, both Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif have rejected his next film opposite Hrithik Roshan due to date issues.

A source told Mid-Day, “Deepika is busy shooting for films she has already signed, including ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Shuddhi’, and ‘Window Seat’. She doesn’t have any dates for the next two years and thus had to turn down a role in Gowarikar’s film, Mohenjo-daro.”

Similarly, a source added that Kaif had a hectic schedule this year to fit in the dates. “But she too said no to him on account of a packed schedule,” says the source.

It will be interesting to see who Gowariker will line-up next for Roshan in the magnum opus period drama.
