Deepika: “It’s disappointing when rumours are untrue”

Deepika Padukone has been on a roll since her Hollywood film ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ (2017) released, with success world over. Later this month, the actress re-commences the shoot of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’. However, the actress has spoken about some of the rumours that her name have been linked to.

In a chat with Hindustan Times, Padukone said, “Let me put it this way: it’s disappointing when it’s untrue and especially, if it comes out in a way that’s absolutely contrary to what might be the actual case. But it’s not my place to sit and talk about what happened and why.”

While her name has also been linked to Shah Rukh Khan’s next with Aanand L Rai, she said, “I personally don’t like to talk about a film until I know I am doing it. So, right now, I can’t say what I am doing.”

She added, “But I am not the one to speak of a film if I am not doing it for whatever reasons.”
