Deepika by Ranveer’s side as he is discharged from hospital

Ranveer Singh, who has been in hospital since the early hours of Friday, has finally been discharged – at 10pm IST. And to no-one is particular’s surprise, his ladylove Deepika Padukone was there by his side.

Talking to Mumbai Mirror on his way home, Singh said, “When the doctors first told me that I had dengue, all I could say was: ‘F***, why me?’ I don’t like hospitals and I don’t like needles. They are my least favourite part of the treatment process. As many pricks as one has to deal with, one never really gets used to them”. Singh was not showing signs of improvement in the first few days and this caused some worry for those in the industry. Singh has been asked to take 20 days rest before he returns to his busy schedule once more.

Singh and Padukone, who will be seen for the first time together in ‘Ram-Leela’ which releases in November, have reportedly been seeing each other for some time having become close during the shooting for the movie. In fact, Padukone is thought to have flown to Mumbai from Goa especially to spend time with Singh on Saturday while he was in hospital. It is thought Padukone was given special permissions to visit her alleged beau at a time when reports suggested that he was in quarantine.

‘Ram-Leela’ will release on 15th November.
