Deepa Mehta’s ‘Beeba Boys’ in trouble?

Randeep Hooda - Beeba Boys

Popular director Deepa Mehta is not new to controversyas herfilms like 2005’s ‘Water’ has faced much opposition in the past. She is ready with her next film, ‘Beeba Boys’, where another controversial scene has been depicted, with aSikh character committing murder with his holy knife.

According to the Deccan Chronicle, a source revealed that the scene was removed from the trailer, but it is still apart of the film. The source stated, “In Beeba Boys, we see a Sikh character is using his holy kirpan (knife) to slash and murder a victim. The shot was removed from the trailer. But the scene is very much there in the film. There is bound to be trouble in India for this.”

‘Beeba Boys’ stars Randeep Hooda, and recently premiered at the TorontoInternational Film Festival on 13th September.

It is slated for a 16th October release in theatres.
