Dawn News set for Sky Digital launch this month

Dawn News, a Pakistan news and current affairs TV channel will launch in the UK this month, the broadcaster has announced.

In association with Takbeer TV, Dawn News will broadcast in Urdu free-to-air on Sky channel 845 from later this month.

According to Noman Javed COO of Takbeer TV, “Dawn News will give the audience different variety of programs including, current affairs shows, highlights the top political and social stories, which have or will impact on our daily lives. The prevailing situation of the country and issues at hand will be discussed in light of past developments and possible future outcomes.”

Prime TV has previously shown programming from Dawn News but will now become a permanent channel on the Sky platform.

UPDATED: The channel was expected to launch on Friday 7th October but has been postponed slightly due to a “technical issue”.
