Ten UKTV channels dropped by Virgin Media over payment row

UKTV channels Dave, Gold are amongst ten other channels that have been dropped by Virgin Media over a fee payment row.

It has been reported that Virgin Media was unhappy at UKTV’s price hike and its dismissal showing all channels to be shown on demand. However, UKTV claims that it too was angered at the drastic price cut from the cable platform.

The channels in question include Dave, Drama, Home, Really and Yesterday, which broadcast on free-to-air services Freeview and Freesat – and it also has paid-for services Gold, Alibi, Eden, Good Food and W.

Viewers had been warned about the abrupt removal a few days prior when talks had failed. All the channels were taken off air on Virgin Media on Saturday midnight.
