Darshan Kumar not to be overshadowed by Priyanka Chopra

As he makes his debut playing Priyanka Chopra’s on-screen husband in ‘Mary Kom’, Darshan Kumar feels that his presence will get a lot of notice due to the importance of his character.

It is known that the Olympic boxer didn’t receive much support of her career choice, apart from a fair few including her husband. IBN Live��reported Kumar stating, “I don’t think I will be overshadowed by Priyanka Chopra.��Whatever Mary Kom has achieved in her life, her husband has a huge contribution in that. Her husband’s journey is equally important. I am more than happy to share the screen space with the National Award winning actress Priyanka Chopra.”

Despite not having any film background, judging from the trailers, this new face looks very promising.

Directed by Omung Kumar, ‘Mary Kom’ is set for release on September 5.
