Is ‘Dangal 2’ in the pipelines?

As is starting to become commonplace in the industry, hype is building on a potential sequel to Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ (2016) following the film witnessing such a tremendous success.  Whilst audiences would revel in seeing a follow on, director Nitesh Tiwari has not yet firmed up any plans but is open to the idea if the story is right.

Speaking to IndiaExpress, Tiwari said “I haven’t thought about it. I don’t know. I don’t plan so much in advance. But if there’s something really exciting, then why not.”

The director was speaking at the media screening of ‘Rangoon’ where he also went onto comment that he’s excited about seeing the film and particularly liked how Vishal Bhardwaj has depicted the 1940s on screen.

Tiwari is putting plans together for his next, to be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala but no further details on this project are yet available.  If it’s anything like his latest blockbuster film, then this is surely one to keep an eye on.
