2016’s ‘Dangal’ was such a huge success at the box office, as expected from a film starring and produced by Aamir Khan. It’s now emerged that the makers may be looking to make a sequel focusing at Geeta Phogat’s life.
“The makers of Dangal are considering making a sequel to the film, because it is a story that can be told again, and because it’s based on real people who are still living their lives. A sequel is being made to the MS Dhoni biopic as well because the first part ended with India winning the 2011 world cup, but his career has proceeded beyond that. Similarly, there could also be a sequel to Sanju. So, there is nothing wrong with the makers wanting to trace Geeta Phogat’s career beyond Dangal,” said a trade expert, according to Deccan Chronicle.
Phogat was played by Fatima Sana Shaikh and it seems she is a definite for the second part if it is on the cards.
