Dance tutor for Ranveer-Deepika in ‘Bajirao Mastani’

It has been confirmed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ is very much on and will star Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. News now has it that a special dance tutor will be brought in for Singh and Padukone.

Choreographer Daksha Sheth will be seen training the couple in��Kalaripayattu. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “The film has several war sequences and Ranveer’s character will be seen in highrisk combats. Bhansali has already finalised locations for these action scenes in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. He is waiting for his cast to return from their respective schedules so they can begin their training with Daksha”. Padukone will also be learning Kathak under Sheth.

“Ranveer needs to master the art of striking, kicking, grappling and weaponry so that when he engages in a fight, he can balance himself perfectly and perform the scenes with elan,” continued the source.

Sheth also confirmed the news, “Yes, I’ve been approached by Sanjay Bhansali to train Raveer and Deepika for Bajirao Mastani. I will have more clarity on this offer in a week’s time. It’s an unusual experience for me to work on a film. I’ve done so few of them. I’m really enthusiastic as along with teaching, I’ll also get to learn something new”.

The film is expected to go on the floors in October.
