Daler Mehndi handed two-year prison sentence in 2003 case

Daler Mehndi has been handed a two-year prison sentence in a 2003 human trafficking case.

His appeal was dismissed by a district court in Patiala. He was earlier sentenced in 2018 but was released on bail.

Mehndi and his now deceased brother, Shamsher Singh were accused of taking people abroad by showing them as troupe members.
