ZEE launches new Punjabi channel in India
ZEE Network and ETC Network are launching a new Punjabi channel in India. The religious channel called Khalsa World goes live at the end of September / early October. Programmes will also be relayed on ZEE Network UK’s Alpha ETC Punjabi channel from the start too.

BCCI defers TV Rights last date bid
The Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI has deferred the last date for submission of bids for television rights to 26th August from earlier scheduled to close on 23rd August at 2pm (IST). The bids are for four-year television rights from 1st October 2005 to 30th September 2009. A BCCI letter has informed about the fresh deadline to the Sports television broadcasters ESPN-STAR Sports, Ten Sports, ZEE Sports, Doordarshan and SET Max, who all have taken the forms from BCCI (Source: TelevisionPoint).
