SET Max “still testing”
SET Max has finally spoken! The channel has confirmed to Biz Asia that it is still in testing mode in the UK and an official launch will take sometime this year. A date has not been set yet. The channel is also aware of its EPG error showing incorrect movie times and changes will be made to this in the next few days.
BBC Asian Network interviews Aamir Khan
Movie gurus Raj and Pablo will be interviewing Bollywood icon Aamir Khan as he returns to the industry after a long break. They particularly concentrate on his recent release The Rising, where he plays India?s legendary 19th Century freedom fighter Mangel Pandey. The interview will go out on Saturday 13th August, 10:00 ? 13:00 on the BBC Asian Network.
Changes at PTV Prime management
After our exclusive revelation last month on B4U’s management changes, it now looks like trouble is brewing at PTV Prime’s headquarters. The channel has lost two key personals internally. Ayesha Shupal, the channel’s Programme Controller and its Head of Sales have both departed from the company.
Batliwala House No 43 continues
Sony’s not so popular celebrity chat-show Batliwala House No 43 has been airing in India despite channel officials announcing the show’s end. According to latest reports, the channel will continue to telecast the show until the end of August. A date for the final episode has not yet been confirmed.
New face for Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’s Krishna
Krishna of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii has a brand new face ? a case of one Sharma replacing another. From next month, Samir Sharma will play Krishna in the STAR Plus daily, after Sachin Sharma decided to quit the Balaji show, as reported by Indian journal hitList last week.
Bobby Deol’s Special on ZEE Network
ZEE Network will be celebrating the release of movie Barsaat this month with a special interview with Bobby Deol in its Heart to Heart programme. It will be screened on ZEE TV on Saturday 20th August at 17:30 and repeated on ZEE Cinema on Sunday 21st August at 12:30.
