STAR’S LOC to go off air
STAR Plus’ sitcom Line Of Control is going off air later this year it has been confirmed. Explains LOC producer Rajiv Mehra, “The shooting has stopped and we are going off air in November. Our first two episodes were one hour each and thereafter the rest of the episodes were scheduled for half an hour each. The shooting for the serial was wrapped up in July itself. The timeslot for our show was changed because of Kaun Banega Crorepati but we were very much aware of all this and it was mentioned clearly in our contract”.

ZEE Network acquires big films
ZEE Network is in the process of acquiring a handful of blockbuster movies to lure back viewers. The network is facing stiff competition in terms of movie premieres with Sony Entertainment Television Asia and STAR Plus taking away some of last year’s and this year’s top films. According to inside sources, the channel has notched up the rights of 2005’S hit movie Waqt. We will keep you posted on the new films on ZEE Network in the next few days.
