Critics rave about Sridevi’s ‘Mom’

ZEE Studios and Boney Kapoor’s latest film ‘Mom’ starring Sridevi has finally hit cinemas today in four languages – Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu.

The emotional thriller directed by Ravi Udyawar , brings together three heavyweight actors – Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna. If that wasn’t all, ‘Mom’ also brings together two legends like megastar Sridevi and Oscar award winning A R Rahman for the very first time.

With so much going for it, ‘Mom’ has critics and influencers rooting for it, with several of them showering praise on the film and it’s fine performances.

Says Komal Nahta, “The script and direction of MOM are almost flawless. Sridevi’s acting proves that she is probably the best in the world! Sajal Ali, Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui deliver performances that are beyond outstanding!”.

Says Kunal Guha, “A dialogue in the film explains that God isn’t omnipresent, and hence he created mothers. But the mother in this film is prepared to battle with Beelzebub, if he were to niggle with her offspring.”
