Court rejects Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea in drugs probe

Rhea Chakraborty’s bail plea has been rejected by a Mumbai sessions court in the ongoing drugs probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).

Along with Rhea, the bail plea of all applicants being investigated – Showik Chakraborty, Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda, were rejected. The six are expected to remain in jail.

However, Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde is set to move the Bombay High Court to challenge the sessions court’s order.
