Evidence against Salman Khan has been confirmed by a Mumbai court and, if convicted, Khan could very well be facing a 10-year jail term for his involvement in a hit-and-run case in 2002.
Khan has been ordered to appear in court on 11th March. The conviction sentence could range from 2-10 years. The incident saw Khan’s SUV crash into a bakery in Mumbai, killing one person and injuring four. Stronger charges were asked to be imposed on Khan by Mumbai police even though the trial first began three years after the accident.
In October 2012, Khan’s application to sell the said vehicle was rejected by the court.
